Reports To:  Principal

Hours: Full time

Hourly Wage: OS4: $15.15 - 17.86/hr depending on previous experience in the same position at a school

Job Summary:  As a Security, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. 

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Positive public relations skills
  • Demonstrated ability to accomplish the major duties listed below.

 Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Handle minor discipline issues, record incidents, and notify classroom teacher or administrator as appropriate.
  2. Assist in implementation of programs/activities to promote a safe, positive school culture.
  3. Monitor hallways and classrooms to increase student on-task time, ensure student safety, and reduce vandalism and other inappropriate behaviors.
  4. Assist with lunch recess duty coverage. 
  5. Direct lunch time activities for students.
  6. Perform such school-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  7. Deal with students, parents, staff, and others in a positive, encouraging manner.
  8. Working game events as security.
  9. Light maintenance for school upkeep.
  10. Other duties as assigned
  11. Act ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment.
